I bought a calendar last year with the most beautiful
pictures in it! I noted the artist's name, and searched the internet
for a site featuring her work. That's how I found the work of Ms.
Janet Kruskamp, and I've been going back to her site often to browse,
and look for new works. Oh, how I wish I could do what this lady does
with brushes, paint and canvas! The detail
in Ms. Kruskamp's art is nothing short of amazing, and her grasp of
her subjects is beyond belief. I love this artist's work!
Thank you, Ms. Kruskamp, for your gracious consent
to my use of your art in this way.
Excerpt from Ms. Kruskamp's site:
Janet's artistic talents surfaced very early in life.
Her father once joked that she was born with crayons in one hand and
a paint brush in the other! By the age of two Janet was already a
prolific artist drawing such characters as the Planters' Peanut Man
and many Disney characters. She would creep behind the clothing in
her parents walk-in closet and draw on the walls, which soon
led her parents to supply her with proper artists materials.
"I always knew I was going to grow up to be
an artist. There was never a period in my life when I didnt
know this, people are born with certain genes for certain talents
and mine was for art, music and creative writing... the strongest
attraction for me was art," says Janet.
