Paula Vaughan was the first artist I discovered on
the internet, due to an avid interest in cross stitching. I joined
a site called Cross Stitch
Pals, and found a group of wonderful people, most of whom were
avid fans of Paula's work. Once I saw her art, I was hooked! This
lady paints such beautiful, nostalgic scenes that take us back to
more innocent times, and I love each and every one of them.
Thank you, Mrs. Vaughan, for your gracious consent
to my use of your art in this way.
Excerpt from Mrs. Vaughan's site:
I would like to say that my painting is always wonderful
and inspired but like anything else, at times it is labored. I start
a painting full of hope and joy. Somewhere in the middle of the painting
I go into a state of semi-depression. I cry and have been known to
throw a painting across the room. I must give Tommy a gold star for
living with me all these years. Then the painting progresses into
a new phase. Several days before the painting is finished it seems
to come alive to me. By the time I finish it, I think it is the best
thing I have ever done. This lasts until I start my next painting
and the cycle starts again.
I want to thank my Saviour, Jesus Christ for giving
me such a wonderful life. He has blessed me far beyond any dreams
I ever had.
